  • Message class: UE - Messages in the user and authorizations environment

  • Message text: Object &1 has already been delivered; deletion is not permitted

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

The field list of an authorization object has a significant effect on
the consistency of the authorization concepts. Changes might have a
    disruptive effect on:
The desired result of authorization checks
The consistency of authorization default values for applications
The authorization maintenance in the Profile Generator
    The consistency of transaction definitions
The definition of authorization templates, organizational units, and
    other objects
If an authorization object has already been transported to other systems
(exported), the original developer can no longer control its use. It is
therefore no longer possible to be sure of making a universally
consistent change to the field properties of the object.

    System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

If the object is no longer required, move it to the "obsolete
    authorization objects" object class.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message UE203 - Object &1 has already been delivered; deletion is not permitted ?

The SAP error message UE203 indicates that an object (such as a delivery, shipment, or other logistics-related item) has already been delivered, and therefore, it cannot be deleted. This is a common issue in SAP systems, particularly in modules related to logistics, sales, and distribution.

    Cause:

The primary cause of this error is that the system has detected that the object you are trying to delete has already been processed in a way that makes deletion impossible. This could happen for several reasons, including:

    1. Delivery Status: The object has a status indicating that it has been delivered or processed.
    2. Dependencies: There may be other documents or processes that depend on the object, preventing its deletion.
    3. Business Rules: Company policies or configurations in the SAP system may restrict the deletion of delivered objects to maintain data integrity.

    Solution:

To resolve the UE203 error, consider the following steps:

    1. Check Object Status: Verify the status of the object you are trying to delete. If it has been delivered, you may need to reverse or cancel the delivery before attempting deletion.

    2. Review Dependencies: Look for any related documents or processes that might be linked to the object. You may need to address these dependencies first.

    3. Consult Documentation: Review your organization's policies regarding the deletion of delivered objects. There may be specific procedures to follow.

    4. Use Transaction Codes: Depending on the object type, you may need to use specific transaction codes to reverse or cancel the delivery. For example:

      • For deliveries, you might use transaction code VL09 (Cancel Goods Issue for Delivery).
      • For sales orders, you might use transaction code VA02 (Change Sales Order) to adjust the order.
    5. Contact Support: If you are unable to resolve the issue, consider reaching out to your SAP support team or consulting the SAP Help Portal for further assistance.

    Related Information:

    • SAP Notes: Check for any relevant SAP Notes that might address this specific error or provide additional guidance.
    • Transaction Logs: Review transaction logs to understand the history of the object and why it cannot be deleted.
    • User Permissions: Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to delete or modify the object in question.
