Message type: E = Error
Message class: UE - Messages in the user and authorizations environment
Message number: 202
Message text: Object &1 has already been delivered; only restricted changes possible
The field list of an authorization object has a significant effect on
the consistency of the authorization concepts. Changes might have a
disruptive effect on:
The desired result of authorization checks
The consistency of authorization default values for applications
The authorization maintenance in the Profile Generator
The consistency of transaction definitions
The definition of authorization templates, organizational units, and
other objects
If an authorization object has already been transported to other systems
(exported), the original developer can no longer control its use. It is
therefore no longer possible to be sure of making a universally
consistent change to the field properties of the object.
Additional changes can be made to object properties that do not have a
direct influence on authorization checks (short text, documentation,
permissible activities, SAP_NEW classification).
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
If the field list of the authorization object no longer meets your
needs, move the object to the "obsolete authorization objects" object
class and create a suitable new authorization object.

UE202
- Object &1 has already been delivered; only restricted changes possible ?The SAP error message UE202 indicates that an object (such as a material, document, or other entity) has already been delivered, and as a result, only restricted changes can be made to it. This is a common scenario in SAP systems, particularly in modules like Materials Management (MM) or Sales and Distribution (SD), where objects are often subject to delivery processes.
Cause:
The error occurs because the object in question has already been processed in a way that restricts further modifications. This could happen due to:
To resolve the UE202 error, consider the following steps:
Check Object Status: Verify the status of the object. If it is in a delivered state, you may need to check if it can be reverted or if a new version can be created.
Review Change Permissions: Understand the restrictions in place for the object. Some changes may be allowed, while others are not. Consult your SAP documentation or system administrator for details on what changes are permissible.
Use Change Documents: If you need to make changes, consider using change documents or creating a new version of the object if the system allows it.
Consult with Business Process Owners: If the changes are necessary for business reasons, discuss with the relevant stakeholders or process owners to determine if an exception can be made or if a different approach is needed.
Check Customizations: If your organization has custom developments or configurations, check if there are specific rules that enforce these restrictions. You may need to involve your SAP technical team to understand these customizations.
Transaction Codes: Use relevant transaction codes to check the object details. For example, in MM, you might use transaction codes like MM03
(Display Material) or VL03N
(Display Outbound Delivery) to view the object and its status.
By following these steps, you should be able to address the UE202 error and understand the limitations on making changes to delivered objects in SAP.
