Message text: Assignments of cutoff tasks are ambiguous with regards to roles
Several roles are assigned to your user profile, to which different
cutoff tasks are assigned using the personalization object <AB>
R_BCS_LIMITED_TASKGROUP</>. However, the system must be able to
determine a cutoff task uniquely in order to work with cutoff tasks in
the monitor.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Check the roles contained in your user profile with regard to the
assigned cutoff tasks in role maintenance (personalization object
<AB>R_BCS_LIMITED_TASKGROUP</>). Make sure that the system can uniquely
determine a cutoff task and, if required, change the assigned cutoff
tasks appropriately.

This error indicates that there is a conflict or ambiguity in the assignment of tasks to roles, which can prevent the system from determining the correct user or role to assign to a specific task.
Cause:

- Missing Role Definitions: There may be roles that are not properly defined or linked to the tasks, causing the system to be unable to determine the correct assignment.
- Duplicate Role Assignments: If the same role is assigned to multiple users or if multiple roles are assigned to the same user for the same task, it can create ambiguity.
- Configuration Issues: There may be issues in the configuration of the cutoff tasks or roles within the SAP system.
Solution:
- Review Role Assignments: Check the role assignments for the cutoff tasks in question. Ensure that each task is clearly assigned to a single role or user to eliminate ambiguity.
- Clarify Role Definitions: Make sure that the roles are well-defined and that there are no overlaps in responsibilities that could lead to confusion.
- Remove Duplicates: If there are duplicate role assignments, remove them to ensure that each task has a unique role associated with it.
- Adjust Task Configuration: Review the configuration of the cutoff tasks to ensure that they are set up correctly and that there are no conflicting settings.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or support resources for specific guidance on managing roles and tasks within the context of your SAP environment.
