What causes this issue?

You cannot use &V1& &V2& as goodwill-carrying unit. This can have one of
the following reasons:
&V1& &V2& is already assigned to a consolidation unit hierarchy.
&V1& &V2& is used as default unit (such as default partner).

System Response

The definition for &V2& as goodwill-carrying unit is inconsistent and
cannot be saved.

How to fix this error?

Use a different consolidation unit as goodwill-carrying unit.
The goodwill-carrying unit may neither be used as default unit nor be
assigned to a consolidation unit hierarchy.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
