How To Fix UCM0231 - Restatement role field is missing in data model or data flows

What causes this issue?

You have activated the <LS>Restatement of Group-Dependent Postings</>
function in consolidation area &V2&. The use of this function requires
the following:
The data model for the consolidation area must contain a field of the
<LS>Restatement</> role.
The restatement characteristic must contain master data. Use of the
seven-character field "Fiscal Year/Period" is <ZH>not</> permitted.
If the data streams specified below exist for the data basis of the
consolidation area, these data streams must contain the Restatement
field as an additional field:
Documents
Held Documents and Sample Documents
Inventory Data
Supplier Data
Supplier Share
Assets/Liabilities
Noncurrent Assets
Noncurrent Assets (Consolidated)
Noncurrent Asset Transfer
Third-Party Investment
Investment
Equity
Result
Goodwill

System Response

The prerequisites listed above have not been fulfilled for consolidation
area &V2&. Therefore, you cannot use the <LS>Restatement of
Group-Dependent Postings</> function with the current data model for
data basis &V1&.

How to fix this error?

Before you can use the <LS>Restatement of Group-Dependent Postings</>
functions, you must enhance the data model for data basis &V1& as
follows:
In the Customizing settings for data basis &V1&, add a suitable field to
the <LS>Role Assignment for Totals Records Fields</> on the <LS>Data
Model</> tab page and assign the <LS>Restatement</> role to this field
(The restatement field must be of type NUMC ("numerical character") and
can have a maximum of 9 characters. A suitable InfoObject is 0BCS_RSTM,
which is part of the standard BI Content.)
In the Customizing settings for data basis &V1&, activate the <LS>Use</>
indicator for the Restatement field below the <LS>Additional Fields</>
node for the data streams listed above; you do this on the <LS>Data
Stream Fields</> tab page.
Then save data basis &V1&.
In the Customizing settings for consolidation area &V2&, add the
Restatement field to the data model on the <LS>Fields</> tab page.
Then save consolidation area &V2&.

Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
