What causes this issue?

You have opted to show the role assignment in the data basis customizing
settings. When the role assignment is shown, the system hides the
settings for the consolidation unit characteristics and the settings for
assets/liabilities.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Hide the role assignment if you want to see the settings for the
consolidation unit characteristics and the settings for
