Message type: E = Error
Message class: UCM - Global Setting of Cons Area/Global Parameters
Message number: 022
Message text: Parameter set &1 already exists and has the same definition
You are saving a new parameter set or overwriting an existing one.
However, a parameter set (&V1&) with the same definition as the new
parameter set you are saving already exists.
The system will not save the new parameter set. Parameter sets must have
unique definitions. Otherwise, the system is unable to decide, which
parameter set to use (for example, when starting the consolidation
monitor).
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

UCM022
- Parameter set &1 already exists and has the same definition ?The SAP error message UCM022 indicates that there is an attempt to create or modify a parameter set that already exists in the system with the same definition. This typically occurs in the context of configuration or customization where parameter sets are used to define specific settings or values.
Cause:
- Duplicate Parameter Set: The most common cause of this error is that a parameter set with the same name and definition already exists in the system.
- Incorrect Configuration: There may be an attempt to create a new parameter set without realizing that it has already been defined.
- Transport Issues: If you are transporting configuration from one system to another, it may lead to conflicts if the parameter set already exists in the target system.
Solution:
Check Existing Parameter Sets: Before creating a new parameter set, check the existing parameter sets in the system to see if one with the same name and definition already exists. You can do this by navigating to the relevant configuration area in SAP.
Modify Existing Parameter Set: If you find that the parameter set already exists and you need to make changes, consider modifying the existing parameter set instead of creating a new one.
Delete or Rename: If the existing parameter set is no longer needed, you can delete it or rename it to avoid the conflict. Ensure that this action does not affect other configurations that depend on it.
Review Transport Requests: If this error occurs during a transport, review the transport requests to ensure that they do not contain conflicting definitions. You may need to adjust the transport or resolve conflicts manually.
Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific guidance on managing parameter sets in your version of SAP.
