  • What causes this issue?

In Customizing for Negative Stockholders' Equity - Global or in the
consolidation of investments method, you have made the following
    settings:
You have <ZH>not</> activated the <LS>Allow Negative Investments</>
    indicator.
You have specified the account assignment &V1& for <LS>Negative
    Investment, Reserves</>.
In the location of values for equity holdings adjustments, you have <ZH>
not</> defined the scope of reported data that results in the "reported
    data account assignment" &V1&.
The system uses the account assignment <LS>Negative Investment, Reserves
</> for the offsetting entry to adjust the negative portion of the
reported investment (for example, in a partial divestiture) if the c
umulative value of the investment on the investor affected is negative.
To ensure that the system can process this adjustment correctly in later
activities, you need to define a separate scope of reported data for
equity holdings adjustments in Customizing for the location of values:
As the "reported data account assignment", you specify the item that you
have defined in Customizing as <LS>Negative Investment, Reserves</>.
In Customizing for <LS>Equity Method Posting</>, you enter the "reported
data account assignment" as the offsetting item.
The separate scope of reported data is only intended for posting in the
automatic consolidation of investments, which means you must <ZH>not</>
enter data for equity holdings adjustments on the "reported data account
    assignment".

    System Response

The system terminates the execution of automatic consolidation of
    investments with an error message.

    How to fix this error?

Add the missing scope of reported data in the location of values for
equity holdings adjustments, as specified above.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
