The SAP error message UC0117 indicates that there is no SID (Surrogate ID) table available for a specific characteristic in the specified client. This error typically occurs in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) or SAP BI (Business Intelligence) when dealing with InfoObjects and their associated SID tables.

    Cause:

    1. Missing SID Table: The SID table for the characteristic has not been created. This can happen if the characteristic is newly created and has not yet been populated with data.
    2. Data Loading Issues: If there were issues during the data loading process, the SID table may not have been generated correctly.
    3. Client-Specific Issues: The error may also arise if the characteristic is not properly defined in the client you are working with.

    Solution:

    1. Check Characteristic Definition: Ensure that the characteristic is correctly defined in the InfoObject. Verify that it is active and has the necessary settings.
    2. Generate SID Table: If the SID table is missing, you can generate it by loading data into the InfoObject. This can be done by executing a data load process that populates the characteristic.
    3. Rebuild the SID Table: If the SID table is corrupted or incomplete, you may need to rebuild it. This can be done using transaction codes like RSA1 (Data Warehousing Workbench) or RSCUSTV10 (to check settings).
    4. Check Data Source: Ensure that the data source feeding into the InfoObject is correctly configured and that data is being loaded without errors.
    5. Transport Request: If the characteristic was transported, ensure that the transport request included all necessary objects, including the SID table.
