What causes this issue?

If you enter an alternative portion in the contract, the system does
not check if this portion has the same length as the
<DS:TRAN.E41A>original portion:</>&V4&. The original portion &V4& is
specified in meter reading unit &V1& in installation &V2&.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Compare the period length of the alternative portion with that of the
original portion &V4&.
If you still wish to use the alternative portion even though the two
portions have different lengths, you must change the allocation of the
meter reading unit in installation &V2&. The period lengths of the
meter reading unit and the alternative portion must be the same.
