  • What causes this issue?

The &V1& change request or piece list you want to exclude is already in
the change request &V2& (type &V3&).

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message TR_AUSL154 - Change request &1 is already in &2: You cannot exclude it ?

The SAP error message TR_AUSL154 indicates that a change request (transport request) is already included in a transport layer or another transport request, and therefore, it cannot be excluded from the current transport request. This typically occurs when you attempt to modify the contents of a transport request that is already linked to another transport request or is part of a transport layer.

    Cause:

    1. Transport Request Already Included: The change request you are trying to exclude is already included in another transport request or is part of a transport layer.
    2. Dependencies: There may be dependencies between transport requests that prevent exclusion.
    3. Transport Layer Configuration: The transport layer settings may enforce certain rules that prevent the exclusion of requests.

    Solution:

    1. Check Transport Request: Verify the transport request you are trying to exclude. Use transaction code SE09 or SE10 to view the details of the transport request and see if it is included in another request.
    2. Analyze Dependencies: Check for any dependencies that might be causing the issue. If the change request is required by another request, you may need to resolve those dependencies first.
    3. Use Transport Organizer: In the Transport Organizer (SE09/SE10), you can check the status of the transport requests and see if the request is already included in another transport request.
    4. Remove from Other Requests: If possible, remove the change request from the other transport request it is included in, and then try to exclude it again.
    5. Consult with Basis Team: If you are unable to resolve the issue, consult with your SAP Basis team. They may have additional tools or insights to help you manage transport requests effectively.

    Related Information:

    • Transport Management System (TMS): Understanding how the TMS works can help you manage transport requests better.
    • Transport Layers: Familiarize yourself with how transport layers are configured in your SAP system, as they can affect how requests are handled.
    • SAP Notes: Check for any relevant SAP Notes that might address specific issues related to transport requests and exclusions.
