- Basis objects cannot be created in application systems ?The SAP error message TR698, which states "Basis objects cannot be created in application systems," typically occurs when there is an issue with the transport management system (TMS) configuration or when trying to create transport requests for basis objects in a non-Basis system.
Causes:

Solutions:
- Check Transport Layer: Ensure that the transport layer is correctly configured for the system. You can do this by checking the TMS configuration in transaction

- Review Transport Directory: Check the transport directory for any inconsistencies or issues. You can use transaction
SE01
to manage transport requests and check for any errors.- Correct Transport Request Type: Ensure that you are using the correct type of transport request for the objects you are trying to create. For example, if you are trying to transport customizing objects, ensure you are using a customizing transport request.
