Message type: E = Error
Message class: TR - Change and Transport System
Message number: 323
Message text: Namespace for object type &2 overlaps with other namespaces
The namespaces in the Transport Organizer and ABAP Workbench are
defined differently: the distinction of transport object types in the
Transport Organizer does not always mean the objects are stored
separately in the ABAP Workbench.
The namespace for the object type &V1& &V2& in the ABAP Workbench
overlaps with the namespace of other object types.
A reservation can therefore not prevent the namespace from being used
for other object types, but can only ensure a standard assignment of
all objects of the specified object type to your package.
The following object types have completely or partly the same
namespaces in the Repository of the ABAP Workbench:
DTEL data elements
TABL tables
TTYP Dictionary table type
VIEW views
CLAS ABAP objects classes
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
<ZH>Example</>To ensure exclusive reservation of a name range, you must make an
identical reservation entry for all transport object types specified.

This typically occurs when you are trying to create or modify an object (like a transport request, program, or other development objects) that falls under a namespace that overlaps with another existing namespace.

- Change Namespace: If you find that the namespace you are trying to use is already taken, consider changing your object to use a different, available namespace.
- Consult with Basis Team: If you are unsure about the namespaces or how to resolve the conflict, consult with your SAP Basis team or system administrator. They can provide insights into the configuration and help you find a suitable namespace.
- Review Transport Requests: If the issue is related to transport requests, ensure that the transport requests are correctly configured and do not overlap with other requests.
