    The template is:
    ^ : Start of the line
    $ : End of the line
    . : Exactly one character
    \ : Removes the special meaning from the following character
    '\.' for example, corresponds to a period '.'

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
