What causes this issue?

You are trying to change position indicators for several lot positions.
The lots have different position attributes assigned (by using a user
exit/BAdI implementation). However, the manual change affects all lots.
This would cause the assignment of the
different attributes to the different lots to be lost.

System Response

It is not possible to change the position indicators manually if
different lot positions have different attributes assigned.

How to fix this error?

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
