Message text: Position attributes of lots cannot be adjusted using BAdI
An implementation of the BAdI TPM_POS_IND_TRL is used to change the
position attributes of a lot position. There are already other lot
positions with the same differentiation terms. The following attributes
have to be the same across the same differentiation terms:
Indicator: Assets/Liabilities Position (ACTIVE_PASSIVE)
Balance Sheet Indicator (SBILK)
Position grouping acc. Para 14 GBA (Sec. and loans) (VVSKWG14)
The position indicator for the lot &v4& in company code &v1&, valuation
area &v2&, and security ID &v3& will not be changed/created.
Adjust the BAdI implementation to ensure that
lot positions with the same differentiation terms share the
above-mentioned attributes.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

TPM_TRL324
- Position attributes of lots cannot be adjusted using BAdI ?The SAP error message TPM_TRL324, which states "Position attributes of lots cannot be adjusted using BAdI," typically occurs in the context of the SAP Treasury and Risk Management (TRM) module, particularly when dealing with position management and lot attributes.
Cause:
This error usually arises when there is an attempt to modify the attributes of a position lot through a Business Add-In (BAdI) that is not designed to handle such adjustments. The system restricts changes to certain attributes of lots to maintain data integrity and ensure that the financial positions are accurately represented.
Solution:
To resolve this error, consider the following steps:
Review BAdI Implementation: Check the implementation of the BAdI you are using. Ensure that it is intended for the operations you are trying to perform. If the BAdI is not suitable for adjusting position attributes, you may need to find an alternative approach.
Use Standard Transactions: Instead of using a BAdI to adjust position attributes, use the standard SAP transactions or reports designed for this purpose. This ensures that the changes are made in a way that is compliant with SAP's data integrity rules.
Consult Documentation: Review the SAP documentation related to the specific BAdI and the position management functionality. This can provide insights into what attributes can be modified and the correct methods for making those changes.
Check Authorization: Ensure that you have the necessary authorizations to make changes to position attributes. Sometimes, lack of proper authorization can lead to errors.
Contact SAP Support: If you are unable to resolve the issue through the above steps, consider reaching out to SAP support for assistance. They can provide guidance specific to your system configuration and the BAdI in question.
