Message text: No unique storage location: Table & client & warehouse number & plant &
In Release 4.0, many warehouse management system tables will include
the field <LS>storage location</>. This field is filled automatically
during the upgrade by program RLXPRA40. The contents of the field are
determined from table T320.
The WM assignment table T320 was checked preliminarily for running
RLXPRA40. The program RLXPRA40 runs later in the upgrade to Release
4.0. The program accesses table T320 with the fields <LS>Plant</> and
<LS>Warehouse number</> to obtain information on the relevant storage
location and write it to the database tables of the WM system. It is
therefore necessary that the storage location can be uniquely
determined from table T320 for the combination PLANT/WAREHOUSE NUMBER.
Before the actual upgrade takes place, the table entries for which the
storage location could not be uniquely determined are found and output.
In the standard system, various storage locations of a plant may not
refer to the same warehouse number in table T320. This is prevented
when this table is maintained in Customizing. If you have made
modifications in Customizing and now several storage locations for a
plant that refer to the same warehouse number in table T320,
automatically starting the program RLXPRA40 during the upgrade can
result in irreparable data losses.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Inform your contact person for the warehouse management system. When
the actual upgrade is started, table 320 must be maintained in such a
way that the storage location can be uniquely determined for each
combination of PLANT and WAREHOUSE NUMBER.
You can find table 320 in Customizing with the following path:
<LS>Enterprise structure</> -> <LS>Maintain structure</> ->
<LS>Assignment</> -> <LS>Materials Management</> -> <LS>Assign
warehouse number to plant/storage location</>.
