This can happen in various scenarios, such as when you are trying to create a new version of a form or when you are attempting to display a form that has not been properly defined or saved.
Cause:
- No Existing Versions: The form you are trying to access does not have any existing versions. This can happen if the form was never saved or if it was deleted.
- Incorrect Form Name: You may be trying to access a form with an incorrect name or identifier.
- Authorization Issues: There may be authorization issues preventing you from accessing the form or its versions.
- Transport Issues: If the form was transported from another system, it may not have been transported correctly, leading to missing versions.
Solution:
- Check Form Existence: Verify that the form exists in the system. You can do this by navigating to the relevant transaction (e.g., SMARTFORMS for Smart Forms or SE71 for SAPscript) and checking if the form is listed.
- Create a New Version: If the form exists but has no versions, you may need to create a new version. In the case of Smart Forms, you can do this by going to the form and using the "Create" option to define a new version.
- Check Naming: Ensure that you are using the correct name for the form. Double-check for any typos or discrepancies in the form name.
- Authorization Check: Ensure that you have the necessary authorizations to access and modify the form. You may need to contact your SAP security team if you suspect authorization issues.
- Transport Check: If the form was supposed to be transported from another system, check the transport logs to ensure that the transport was successful and that all necessary objects were included.
