Message type: E = Error
Message class: T5 - SAPphone: Messages for telephony
Message number: 038
Message text: Version &1 of ext. telephony server has incorrect format
The version number of the external telephony software must have the
format
A.BBCDDD.
This means that
A = Numerical, rounded up in the case of incompatible interface
changes
B = Numerical, rounded up in the case of larger, compatible
interface changes
C = Letters, changed in the case of small changes
D = Other characters, are not evaluated by SAPphone.
The version number is used to check compatibility in SAPphone. The
values of A, B and C should correspond to the version of the SAPphone
interface, for which the software was created or to which it was last
adapted.
It cannot be checked whether the SAPphone version and the external
version are compatible. Nevertheless, the system can be activated and
implemented. Errors and unsupported functions are possible, however.
Check whether a correct version of the external software has been
implemented.
