SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: STRALAN_MSAG - Language Transport Messages

  • Message number: 042

  • Message text: Some tables are excluded (see long text)

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

When you supplement a language, you supplement all tables that are
flagged as relevant for translation in your technical settings. You can
use Transaction SE13 to check the technical settings of a table.
However, it does not make sense to supplement some tables, regardless
of their technical settings. These include, for example, tables that
are flagged as relevant for translation, but which are translated using
a special procedure that produces more information than just a text
(such as indexes or header data).

    System Response

When this option is chosen, the tables that are stored as follows are
    not supplemented.
The tables that are excluded from supplementation are stored in the
table TLANNOTTA. In this table, you can specify one or more languages
for each table which you do not want to supplement.

    How to fix this error?

SAP delivers the table TLANNOTTA with default entries. You can use
Transaction SM30 to change or add to these entries. If you do not want
to supplement a table for any language, enter '+' in the language
    field.
<ZH>All tables that have the supplementation flag set to "false" are
not supplemented for the specified languages.</>
You can also override the TLANNOTTA settings by adding the tables to
the list of tables you want to supplement in Transaction SMLT.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
