  • What causes this issue?

    You wanted to assign the device type "&V1&" which does not exist in the
    system. The device type does not exist in the system because it has not
    been installed.
    As a consequence it was not possible to determine whether this device
    type allows Unicode support.

    System Response

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

    You have to install this device type. Read note "&V2&" to install the
    device type. (Double-click on the note number on the main screen.) After
    that the device type suggestions will be automatically recalculated.
    If the installed device types does not allow Unicode support, but the
    chosen languages require Unicode support, you will have to choose
    another device type.
