How to fix SAP error SP01R038?

What causes this issue? You attempted to view the print preview of a PDF-based document. The PDF file require for this does not exist. It has either been accidentally deleted or was never created. The latter is the case, if the document was created in the performance mode "Print Only". In this case, a print preview is not possible. What causes this issue?
