Message class: SIPT - SIPT: Digital Signature Portugal
Message number: 013
Message text: You are not authorized to change the 'RF_BELEG' number range
You tried to change the starting number for digital signature in the
SIPT_NUMST_FI application table, or to enter the gaps for digital
signature in the SIPT_GAPS_BKPF application table. This is, however, not
possible because you do not have the proper authorization.
The system checks if you have the authorization to maintain number range
intervals for the RF_BELEG number range object. If you are not allowed
to maintain number ranges, the system displays an error message.
To prevent inconsistencies, we strongly recommend that you do not make
changes to the SIPT_NUMST_FI table.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

SIPT013
- You are not authorized to change the 'RF_BELEG' number range ?The SAP error message SIPT013, which states "You are not authorized to change the 'RF_BELEG' number range," typically occurs when a user attempts to access or modify a number range that they do not have the necessary authorizations for. This error is related to the number range object used for documents in the SAP system, specifically for the RF (Remittance) documents.
Cause:
- Authorization Issues: The user does not have the required authorization to change the number range for the specified object ('RF_BELEG').
- Number Range Configuration: The number range may be locked or restricted for certain user roles or profiles.
- User Role Assignment: The user may not be assigned to the correct role that includes the necessary permissions to modify the number range.
Solution:
Check User Authorizations:
- Use transaction code SU53 immediately after encountering the error to check the authorization failure details.
- Review the user's roles and authorizations in transaction code PFCG to ensure they have the necessary permissions for the number range object.
Modify User Roles:
- If the user lacks the necessary authorizations, a system administrator or security officer should update the user's role to include the required authorizations for the 'RF_BELEG' number range.
- The relevant authorization object is typically S_NUMC (Number Range Management) or similar, depending on the specific configuration.
Consult with Security Team:
- If you are not an administrator, contact your SAP security team to request the necessary authorizations or to understand the restrictions in place.
Review Number Range Configuration:
- If you have the necessary access, check the configuration of the number range using transaction code SNRO (Number Range Objects) to ensure that it is set up correctly and that there are no restrictions preventing changes.
Testing:
- After adjustments are made, test the changes by attempting to access or modify the number range again to confirm that the issue is resolved.
