What causes this issue?

The specified ILM object is not available for rule maintenance as it is
not entered accordingly in Customizing for IRM. The ILM object must be
available in Customizing and also permitted for the selected policy
category.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

Select another ILM object or check Customizing for IRM (transaction
IRM_CUST), or contact your system administrator.
