RSTCC001
- Data target &1 not found. See long text. ?The SAP error message RSTCC001 indicates that a specified data target (like an InfoObject, InfoProvider, or DataStore Object) cannot be found in the system. This error typically occurs during data extraction, transformation, or loading processes, particularly in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) or SAP BW/4HANA.
Cause:
- Non-existent Data Target: The data target specified in the process does not exist in the system. This could be due to a typo in the name or the data target being deleted or not activated.
- Transport Issues: If the data target was recently transported from another system, it may not have been properly imported or activated in the target system.
- Authorization Issues: The user executing the process may not have the necessary authorizations to access the data target.
- Incorrect Configuration: The data flow or process chain may be incorrectly configured, pointing to an invalid or outdated data target.
Solution:
- Verify Data Target Existence: Check if the data target exists in the system. You can do this by navigating to the relevant transaction (like RSA1 for InfoProviders) and searching for the data target.
- Check Naming and Typo: Ensure that the name of the data target is correctly spelled in the process or configuration.
- Re-activate Data Target: If the data target exists but is inactive, try reactivating it. This can often resolve issues related to data targets that have been modified.
- Review Transport Logs: If the data target was recently transported, check the transport logs for any errors or issues during the transport process.
- Check Authorizations: Ensure that the user has the necessary authorizations to access the data target. This may involve checking roles and authorizations in the user profile.
- Review Process Chain Configuration: If the error occurs in a process chain, review the configuration to ensure that all steps are correctly set up and pointing to valid data targets.
