The hierarchy cannot be consumed in the external SAP HANA view for
characteristic with hierarchy. You can repair the master data
inconsistency by calling transaction RSRV, running elementary test
'Hierarchies/Check individual hierarchy: BW Hierarchy in SAP HANA' and
choosing the "Correct Error" function.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
