The current workbook contains settings that do not permit you to create
or change variable variants. This is not possible if a data provider is
selected as parentheses for the variable variants and the workbook
contains more than one data provider.

System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

How to fix this error?

You can change the variants of the leading data provider by opening the
relevant queries individually in the workbook and then customizing the
variants.
If you have the rights to edit the working folder, you can change the
parentheses settings for variable variants. This can be done in the
"Variables" tab page of the workbook settings.
