RSPLS_CR041
- InfoProvider '&2' contains incompatible constants ?The SAP error message RSPLS_CR041 indicates that there is an issue with the constants defined in an InfoProvider, specifically that they are incompatible. This error typically arises in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) when working with queries or data models that involve constants.
Cause:
The error can occur due to several reasons:
- Inconsistent Constants: The constants defined in the InfoProvider do not match the expected values or types. This can happen if there have been changes to the InfoProvider or if the constants were modified without updating the dependent objects.
- Data Model Changes: If there have been changes to the underlying data model (like changes in the InfoObject or InfoProvider), it can lead to inconsistencies.
- Transport Issues: If the InfoProvider was transported from one system to another, there might be inconsistencies in the constants due to missing or incorrect transport requests.
Solution:
To resolve the RSPLS_CR041 error, you can follow these steps:
Check Constants: Review the constants defined in the InfoProvider. Ensure that they are correctly defined and compatible with the data types expected by the queries or reports that use them.
Rebuild the InfoProvider: If the constants are indeed incompatible, you may need to rebuild or redefine the InfoProvider. This can involve:
- Deleting and recreating the constants.
- Ensuring that all dependent objects are updated accordingly.
Check for Changes: If there have been recent changes to the InfoProvider or related objects, verify that all changes are consistent and that no objects are left in an inconsistent state.
Transport Consistency: If the issue arose after a transport, check the transport logs and ensure that all necessary objects were transported correctly. You may need to re-transport the InfoProvider or related objects.
Activate Objects: Sometimes, simply activating the InfoProvider and its related objects can resolve the issue. Go to the InfoProvider in the SAP BW modeling tools and activate it.
Check for Dependencies: Ensure that all dependent queries, reports, and other objects that rely on the InfoProvider are also updated and activated.
