Message class: RSPLS_CR - Messages on Characteristic Relationships/Data Slices
Message number: 029
Message text: Inconsistent time characteristics: &1,&2 and &3,&4
If more than one time characteristic appears in a data record, the
system checks that the values of the time characteristics are
consistent. In this data record, characteristic '&V1&' has value '&V2&'
and characteristic '&V3&' has value '&V4&'.
The data record is incorrect.
In manual planning, correct the entry.
In a planning function, configure the planning function so that the time
characteristics are consistent.
We normally recommend that you let the system derive redundant time
characteristics. Therefore, in an aggregation level, only non-redundant
time characteristics should be included.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

- Inconsistent time characteristics: &1,&2 and &3,&4 ?The SAP error message RSPLS_CR029 indicates that there is an inconsistency in the time characteristics of a query or data model in SAP BW (Business Warehouse). This error typically arises when there are discrepancies in the time-related attributes or characteristics used in a query, such as different time periods or hierarchies that are not aligned.

Solution:
- Check Time Characteristics: Review the time characteristics used in the query. Ensure that they are consistent and compatible. For example, if you are using a fiscal year, make sure that all other time characteristics are also based on the same fiscal calendar.
- Review Query Design: Go through the query design in the BEx Query Designer. Look for any inconsistencies in the selection of time characteristics and ensure that they are aligned.
- Data Model Validation: Validate the underlying data model (InfoObjects, InfoProviders) to ensure that they are correctly defined and that there are no discrepancies in the time attributes.
- Rebuild the Query: If the issue persists, consider rebuilding the query from scratch, ensuring that you select compatible time characteristics from the beginning.
