Message text: Aggregation level &1: InfoObject &2 requires InfoObject &3 (compounding)
Key figures '&V2&' and '&V3&' are based on characteristics in the data
part of DataStore-Object '&V4&'. These characteristics are compounded.
To ensure consistent master data values in DataStore-Object '&V4&' when
changed via aggregation level '&V1&' either both or none of the key
figures '&V2&' and '&V3&' have to be contained in aggregation level '
&V1&'.
Aggregation level '&V1&' is not consistent and cannot be activated.
Include both key figures '&V2&' and '&V3&' in the aggregation level or
do not '&V2&' and '&V3&' in the aggregation level.

- Aggregation level &1: InfoObject &2 requires InfoObject &3 (compounding) ?The SAP error message RSPLS146 indicates that there is a problem with the aggregation level in your SAP BW (Business Warehouse) system. Specifically, it means that the InfoObject you are trying to use in the aggregation level requires another InfoObject for compounding, but that InfoObject is not included in the aggregation level definition.
Cause:
The error occurs when:
- You have defined an aggregation level that includes certain InfoObjects.
- One of the InfoObjects (let's call it InfoObject &2) is compounded with another InfoObject (let's call it InfoObject &3).
- InfoObject &3 is not included in the aggregation level definition, which is required for the proper functioning of the aggregation level.
Solution:
To resolve this error, you need to modify the aggregation level to include the required InfoObject. Here are the steps to do this:
Identify the InfoObjects: Determine which InfoObjects are involved in the error message. You will need to know which InfoObject is compounded with which.
Modify the Aggregation Level:
- Go to the Aggregation Level maintenance transaction in SAP BW (usually RSA1).
- Locate the aggregation level that is causing the error.
- Edit the aggregation level definition to include the required InfoObject (InfoObject &3 in this case).
Save and Activate: After making the necessary changes, save and activate the aggregation level.
Test: After activation, test the aggregation level to ensure that the error no longer occurs.
Related Information:
Compounding: In SAP BW, compounding is a feature that allows you to create a hierarchy of InfoObjects. For example, if you have a characteristic like "Region" that is compounded with "Country," you need to ensure that both are included in any aggregation level that uses them.
Aggregation Levels: Aggregation levels are used in SAP BW to define how data is aggregated for reporting purposes. They specify which InfoObjects are included in the data model for queries.
InfoObjects: These are the building blocks of the data model in SAP BW. They can represent characteristics (dimensions) or key figures (measures).
If you continue to experience issues after following these steps, consider checking the documentation for your specific version of SAP BW or consulting with your SAP BW administrator for further assistance.
