Message type: E = Error
Message class: RSO_RES_ADSO - Datastore Object
Message number: 280
Message text: Conversion of flavor only possible as there is no delta DTP.
The flavor of the DataStore object has been changed. If there is a delta
DTP on top of this DataStore object, this conversion would cause a
change in the source table of the delta extraction. This conversion
would therefore not be possible.
Currently there is no delta DTP in the local system, so the conversion
is possible.
If the change of the flavor is transported to another system however,
and there is a delta DTP, the conversion will fail in the other system.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

RSO_RES_ADSO280
- Conversion of flavor only possible as there is no delta DTP. ?The SAP error message RSO_RES_ADSO280 indicates that there is an issue with the conversion of a data flow in SAP BW/4HANA or SAP BW on HANA, specifically related to the use of an Advanced DataStore Object (ADSO). The error message states that the conversion of the flavor (which refers to the specific configuration or variant of the data flow) is only possible because there is no delta Data Transfer Process (DTP) available.
Cause:
- Missing Delta DTP: The primary cause of this error is that the delta DTP for the ADSO is not defined or is not available. Delta DTPs are used to load data incrementally, and if one is not set up, the system cannot perform the necessary operations for the conversion.
- Configuration Issues: There may be configuration issues in the data flow or the ADSO itself that prevent the delta DTP from being recognized or created.
- Data Flow State: The state of the data flow might not be suitable for conversion, possibly due to previous errors or incomplete setups.
Solution:
Check Delta DTP:
- Go to the Data Warehousing Workbench (transaction code RSA1).
- Navigate to the relevant ADSO and check if a delta DTP is defined.
- If it is missing, create a delta DTP for the ADSO.
Create Delta DTP:
- In the Data Warehousing Workbench, right-click on the ADSO and select "Create Data Transfer Process."
- Choose the delta option and configure it according to your requirements.
Review Configuration:
- Ensure that the ADSO and the associated InfoObjects are correctly configured.
- Check for any inconsistencies or errors in the data flow that might prevent the delta DTP from functioning.
Check for Previous Errors:
- Review the logs for any previous errors that might have occurred during data loading or processing that could affect the current state of the ADSO.
Test the Data Flow:
- After creating or correcting the delta DTP, test the data flow to ensure that it works as expected and that the conversion can now proceed without errors.
