  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message RSDSO_MANAGE060 - Only non-activated and non-propagated load requests can be deleted here ?

The SAP error message RSDSO_MANAGE060 indicates that you are trying to delete a load request that is either activated or propagated. In SAP BW (Business Warehouse), load requests can be in different states, and only those that are non-activated and non-propagated can be deleted.

    Cause:

    1. Activated Load Request: The load request has been activated, meaning that the data has been successfully loaded into the InfoProvider and is now part of the data model.
    2. Propagated Load Request: The load request has been propagated to other InfoProviders or has been used in a process chain, making it part of a larger data flow.
    3. Incorrect Deletion Attempt: You may be attempting to delete a request that is not in a state that allows deletion.

    Solution:

To resolve this error, you can take the following steps:

    1. Check Load Request Status:

      • Go to the Data Warehousing Workbench (transaction code RSA1).
      • Navigate to the InfoProvider where the load request is located.
      • Check the status of the load request in the "Manage" section.
    2. Deactivate the Load Request:

      • If the load request is activated, you may need to deactivate it first. This can typically be done by selecting the request and choosing the "Deactivate" option.
    3. Remove Propagation:

      • If the load request has been propagated, you may need to remove the propagation or ensure that it is not being used in any process chains or other InfoProviders.
    4. Delete the Load Request:

      • Once the load request is deactivated and not propagated, you should be able to delete it without encountering the error.
    5. Use Transaction Code:

      • You can also use transaction code RSCLNTAB to check for any dependencies or references to the load request that may prevent deletion.

    Related Information:

    • Data Load Process: Understanding the data load process in SAP BW is crucial. Familiarize yourself with the different states of load requests (e.g., active, inactive, propagated).
    • Process Chains: If the load request is part of a process chain, you may need to review the process chain and its dependencies.
    • SAP Notes: Check for any relevant SAP Notes that may provide additional insights or solutions related to this error message.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the RSDSO_MANAGE060 error and successfully delete the load request if it meets the criteria for deletion.
