  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message RSDA149 - Not all requests have been rolled up to subsequent data marts ?

The SAP error message RSDA149 indicates that not all requests have been successfully rolled up to the subsequent data marts in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) or SAP BW/4HANA. This error typically arises during the data loading or data processing phases when there are issues with the data transfer from one layer to another.

    Causes:

    1. Data Transfer Issues: There may be problems with the data transfer process, such as network issues, system downtime, or configuration errors.
    2. Data Quality Issues: The data being processed may contain inconsistencies, duplicates, or errors that prevent successful roll-up.
    3. Request Status: Some requests may be in a status that does not allow them to be rolled up (e.g., canceled or failed requests).
    4. Data Mart Configuration: The configuration of the data mart may not be set up correctly, leading to issues in data aggregation.
    5. Process Chain Errors: If the data loading is part of a process chain, errors in previous steps can affect subsequent steps.

    Solutions:

    1. Check Request Status: Review the status of the requests in the data warehouse. Ensure that all requests are in a "green" status (successful) before attempting to roll them up.
    2. Review Logs: Check the logs for any error messages or warnings that can provide more context on why the roll-up failed. This can be done in the SAP BW administration tools.
    3. Data Quality Checks: Perform data quality checks to ensure that the data being processed is clean and consistent. Address any issues found.
    4. Reprocess Requests: If certain requests have failed, consider reprocessing them. You can do this by selecting the failed requests and executing them again.
    5. Check Process Chains: If the roll-up is part of a process chain, ensure that all previous steps have completed successfully. If there are errors, resolve them before proceeding.
    6. Configuration Review: Review the configuration of the data mart and ensure that it is set up correctly to accept the rolled-up data.
    7. Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or support notes related to the specific error message for additional troubleshooting steps.

    Related Information:
