  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

You want to execute the data transfer process (DTP)&v1& within a process
    chain.

    System Response

This is not possible at the moment.

    How to fix this error?

The DTP&v1& is not available as an active or a revised version. This can
be due to the following reasons:
You copied the process chain from the BI content. The DTP&v1& was not
copied correctly from the shadow version to the pseudo-D version or the
    active version.
<DS:TRAN.RSOR>Copy the process chain again from the BI content.</>
Make sure that the Match (X) or Copy indicator is not selected.
You transported a process chain as active version. In this case, too,
the transported version of the DTP could not be copied to the active
    version.
Transport the process chain again and analyze the transport log.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message RSBK066 - DTP cannot be activated; transport/activate chain again ?

The SAP error message RSBK066 indicates that a Data Transfer Process (DTP) cannot be activated, and it suggests that you should transport or activate the chain again. This error typically occurs in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) when there are issues with the DTP configuration or its dependencies.

    Causes:

    1. Missing or Incomplete Configuration: The DTP may have missing settings or configurations that prevent it from being activated.
    2. Transport Issues: If the DTP was transported from one system to another (e.g., from development to production), there may have been issues during the transport process.
    3. Dependencies Not Met: The DTP may depend on other objects (like InfoProviders, InfoObjects, or other DTPs) that are not activated or are in an inconsistent state.
    4. Version Conflicts: There may be version conflicts between the DTP and the underlying data model or InfoProviders.
    5. Authorization Issues: The user may not have the necessary authorizations to activate the DTP.

    Solutions:

    1. Check Configuration: Review the DTP settings to ensure that all required fields are filled out correctly. Pay attention to the source and target InfoProviders.
    2. Re-transport the DTP: If the DTP was recently transported, try re-transporting it to ensure that all dependencies are included and activated.
    3. Activate Dependencies: Ensure that all dependent objects (like InfoProviders and InfoObjects) are activated. You can check the activation status in the SAP BW modeling tools.
    4. Check for Errors in the Transport Logs: If the DTP was transported, check the transport logs for any errors that may have occurred during the transport process.
    5. Review Authorizations: Ensure that the user attempting to activate the DTP has the necessary authorizations to perform this action.
    6. Use Transaction RSCUSTV10: This transaction can help you check the settings related to DTPs and their activation.
    7. Check for Version Conflicts: Ensure that the DTP is compatible with the current version of the underlying data model.

    Related Information:

    • Transaction Codes: You may find it useful to use transaction codes like RSA1 (Data Warehousing Workbench) to navigate to the DTP and check its settings.
    • SAP Notes: Check SAP Notes related to DTP activation issues for any known bugs or additional troubleshooting steps.
    • Documentation: Refer to SAP BW documentation for detailed information on DTP configuration and activation processes.
