Message text: Data records were deleted according to the selection interval
You have requested data of type &V& from characteristic &V& for a time
interval selection.
Data types:
M : Master data
T : Texts
Data records are partly outside the time interval selection. This is
because certain extractors in the source system cannot interpret the end
date of the selection. Therefore, data records are transferred from the
source system that are temporally outside of the selection time frame.
In order to ensure data consistency, those data records that are
temporally outside of the selection intervals are filtered out (del
eted). &V& data records were deleted.
Note:
Note that in the source system, all records that have been transferred
are flagged as transferred to the BW system.
This also applies to data records that have been deleted by the filter.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

RSAU329
- Data records were deleted according to the selection interval ?The SAP error message RSAU329, which states "Data records were deleted according to the selection interval," typically occurs in the context of data extraction or reporting processes, particularly when using the SAP BW (Business Warehouse) or SAP BI (Business Intelligence) systems. This message indicates that certain data records have been removed from the dataset based on the specified selection criteria or interval.
Cause:
- Selection Criteria: The error is often triggered when the selection criteria defined in the query or report do not match any existing data records. This can happen if the date range or other filters are too restrictive.
- Data Deletion: It may also indicate that data has been deleted from the underlying database or InfoProvider, either manually or through a data management process.
- Data Load Issues: If there are issues during data loading processes, such as failed data loads or incorrect transformations, it may lead to missing records.
- Data Archiving: Records may have been archived or removed as part of a data management strategy, leading to their unavailability for reporting.
Solution:
- Review Selection Criteria: Check the selection criteria used in the query or report. Ensure that the date range and other filters are set correctly and that they correspond to the available data.
- Data Availability: Verify that the data exists in the underlying InfoProvider or database. You can do this by running a simple query or report without filters to see if records are present.
- Data Load Monitoring: If you suspect data load issues, check the data load logs for any errors or warnings that may indicate why records are missing.
- Consult Data Management Policies: If data archiving or deletion policies are in place, consult with your data management team to understand if records have been intentionally removed.
- Testing with Different Intervals: Try running the report with different selection intervals to see if records appear. This can help identify if the issue is related to specific filters.
