Message class: RSAR - Data Transfer and Metadata Maintenance
Message number: 399
Message text: Source system &1 is a dummy. Object not executable
The source system &V1& is only a dummy for the source system &V2&. It
can only be used for modeling source-system-dependent scenarios. The
loading of data is very restricted:
Full loading processes can only be performed under the following
conditions:
The structures of the DataSource in the original source system &V2& and
the source system dummy &V1& are identical.
The DataSource is active in the dummy and the original system.
The DataSource has the the same object type (RSDS or ISFS) in the
original and the dummy.
Data can be updated using a data transfer process from the PSA of the
dummy.
Init and delta loading processes cannot be performed due to the
following reasons:
It is not possible to load different selection conditions in the
original and dummy systems. The original system is always used for
loading and it only has one init selection.
Deltas can only be sent to a BW once. Therefore the same delta cannot be
loaded from the original system and the dummy system.
The function is canceled.
Execute the action on the original system &V2& .
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

- Go to the SAP BW system and check the configuration of the source system in transaction RSA1 (Data Warehousing Workbench).
- Ensure that the source system is correctly defined and is not marked as a dummy.

Review Connection Settings:
- Verify the connection settings for the source system. Ensure that the connection parameters (like RFC destination) are correctly set up and that the source system is reachable.
Check for Transport Issues:
- If the source system was recently transported, ensure that all necessary objects and configurations were transported correctly. You may need to reconfigure the source system in the target environment.
