- Temporal join: Field list still contains InfoObject &1 ?The SAP error message RS_HCPR_MODEL038, which states "Temporal join: Field list still contains InfoObject &1," typically occurs in the context of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) when working with temporal joins in data modeling. This error indicates that there is an issue with the field list in your query or data model, specifically that it still contains an InfoObject that is not compatible with the temporal join you are trying to perform.
Cause:
- Incompatible InfoObject: The InfoObject mentioned in the error message (&1) is likely not suitable for the temporal join you are attempting. Temporal joins require specific types of InfoObjects, and if the field list includes an incompatible one, this error will be triggered.
- Modeling Issues: There may be a misconfiguration in your data model or query definition that includes fields that should not be part of a temporal join.
- Data Source Configuration: The data source or the underlying data model may not be set up correctly to support temporal joins.
Solution:
- Review the Field List: Check the field list in your query or data model. Identify the InfoObject that is causing the issue (as indicated by &1) and determine if it is necessary for your temporal join.
- Remove Incompatible Fields: If the InfoObject is not required for the temporal join, remove it from the field list. Ensure that only compatible fields are included in the temporal join.
- Check Data Model Configuration: Ensure that your data model is correctly configured to support temporal joins. This may involve checking the settings of the InfoObjects and ensuring they are set up for time-dependent data.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for guidance on temporal joins and the specific requirements for InfoObjects in this context.
- Testing: After making changes, test the query or data model again to ensure that the error is resolved.
