Message text: Planned order &1 has a production version; master recipe not deleted
You want to delete the objects from the recipe transformation (master
recipe, production version, BOM). The trial is assigned a planned order
with a production version.
The objects from the recipe transformation cannot be deleted because if
the recipe is transformed again, the planned order is not updated and
inconsistencies can arise.
Delete the planned order first. It is not sufficient to delete the
production version from the planned order, since this does not delete
existing components and reservations.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

RMXTPP096
- Planned order &1 has a production version; master recipe not deleted ?The SAP error message RMXTPP096 indicates that a planned order cannot be deleted because it is associated with a production version that has a master recipe. This typically occurs in the context of production planning and execution within SAP's ERP system, particularly in the areas of production orders and master data management.
Cause:
- Production Version Exists: The planned order is linked to a production version that defines how the product is manufactured, including the master recipe.
- Master Recipe Association: The master recipe is a key component in the production process, and it cannot be deleted if there are planned orders referencing it.
- Data Integrity: SAP enforces data integrity rules to ensure that all necessary components are in place before allowing deletions, preventing orphaned data or inconsistencies.
Solution:
To resolve this error, you can take the following steps:
- Check the Planned Order: Review the planned order in question to confirm its details and the associated production version.
- Delete or Change the Production Version: If the planned order is no longer needed, you may need to delete or change the production version associated with it. This can be done in the following ways:
- Delete the Planned Order: If the planned order is not required, you can delete it first. Use transaction code MD04 or CO02 to manage planned orders.
- Change the Production Version: If you need to keep the planned order, consider changing the production version to one that does not have an associated master recipe.
- Check Master Recipe: If the master recipe is still needed, ensure that it is correctly linked to the production version and that there are no other dependencies preventing its deletion.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific instructions on managing production versions and master recipes.
