Message text: Formula for stage &3 uses stream from formula of stage &2
The stage formula of formula &V3& of recipe &V1& uses a stream that was
defined as an output item in stage formula &V2&.
All streams must flow into a subsequent stage. If the input and output
of this stream are assigned to two corresponding operations, a
relationship must exist between these two operations, otherwise the
assignment is defined by the stage number. The stream flow and the
relationships between the operations must be the same.
The consistency check ended with errors.
Change the relationships between the operations or assign the stream to
a suitable stage formula. Perform the consistency check for the recipe
again.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

RMSRCPDIA119
- Formula for stage &3 uses stream from formula of stage &2 ?The SAP error message RMSRCPDIA119 indicates that there is an issue with the formula configuration in the SAP system, specifically in the context of the Resource Management System (RMS) or similar modules that deal with planning and forecasting. The error message states that a formula for a particular stage (stage &3) is using a stream from another formula (stage &2), which is not allowed or is causing a conflict.
Cause:
- Formula Dependency: The formula for stage &3 is incorrectly referencing a stream from the formula of stage &2. This can happen if the formulas are not set up correctly or if there is a misunderstanding of how streams and formulas should interact.
- Circular Reference: There may be a circular reference where the output of one formula is being used as an input for another in a way that creates a loop.
- Incorrect Configuration: The configuration of the formulas may not adhere to the rules set by the system, leading to this error.
Solution:
- Review Formulas: Check the formulas for both stages (stage &2 and stage &3) to ensure that they are set up correctly. Make sure that stage &3 does not directly or indirectly depend on stage &2 in a way that violates the system's rules.
- Adjust Dependencies: If stage &3 needs to use data from stage &2, consider restructuring the formulas so that they do not create a direct dependency. You may need to create intermediate calculations or use different streams that do not conflict.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to the SAP documentation for the specific module you are working with to understand the rules regarding formula dependencies and streams.
- Testing: After making adjustments, test the formulas to ensure that they work as expected without triggering the error message.
