  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

In a recipe, there may only be one valid change status on each date at
a time. The valid-from date of a new change status must therefore be
different to that of existing change statuses.
There is, however, a change status for the recipe you selected whose
valid-from date is identical to the <DS:DE.PVS_STTAG>key date</> you
entered or the date of the <DS:TX.RMS_RCP_DE-AENNR>change number</> you
entered. The system does not create the new change status.

    System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

    RESET N1
Check the valid-from date of the existing change statuses.
Use a key date or change number with a date that is not yet used in the
recipe for your new change status.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message RMSRCP075 - Creation not permitted; change status for valid-from date already exists ?

The SAP error message RMSRCP075 ("Creation not permitted; change status for valid-from date already exists") typically occurs in the context of managing records in the SAP Retail Management System (RMS) or similar modules where date-based records are maintained. This error indicates that there is an attempt to create a new record or change an existing record for a date that already has a status change defined.

    Cause:

    1. Duplicate Valid-From Date: The error arises when you try to create a new record with a "valid-from" date that already has an existing record with a status change. The system does not allow multiple records with the same valid-from date for the same entity (e.g., a product, price, or promotion).
    2. Incorrect Data Entry: It may also occur due to incorrect data entry where the user inadvertently tries to create a record for a date that is already occupied.
    3. System Configuration: There might be specific configurations or settings in the system that enforce strict rules on how records are managed based on dates.

    Solution:

    1. Check Existing Records: Review the existing records for the entity you are trying to create or change. Look for any records that have the same valid-from date. You can do this by querying the database or using the relevant transaction codes in SAP to view existing records.
    2. Change Valid-From Date: If you find that a record already exists for the valid-from date you are trying to use, consider changing the valid-from date of the new record to a different date that does not conflict with existing records.
    3. Modify Existing Record: If the intention is to update an existing record, you may need to modify that record instead of creating a new one. Ensure that you are making the necessary changes to the correct record.
    4. Consult Documentation: Review the SAP documentation or help files related to the specific module you are working with to understand the rules governing valid-from dates and status changes.
    5. Contact Support: If you are unable to resolve the issue, consider reaching out to your SAP support team or consulting with an SAP expert who can provide guidance based on your specific configuration and business processes.

    Related Information:

    • Transaction Codes: Familiarize yourself with relevant transaction codes that can help you view and manage records, such as RMSRCP for retail management.

    • User Permissions: Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to create or modify records in the system, as permission issues can sometimes lead to unexpected errors.
