  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message RH607 - Node ID & occurs more than once in the interval table ?

The SAP error message RH607 indicates that a node ID occurs more than once in the interval table. This typically arises in the context of time management or personnel administration, where the system expects unique entries for specific time intervals associated with a particular node (such as an employee or a specific time record).

    Cause:

    1. Duplicate Entries: The primary cause of this error is the presence of duplicate entries for the same node ID in the interval table. This can happen due to incorrect data entry, data migration issues, or system errors.
    2. Data Consistency Issues: If the data has been imported or modified without proper checks, it may lead to inconsistencies, resulting in duplicate node IDs.
    3. Configuration Errors: Incorrect configuration in the time management or personnel administration modules can also lead to this error.

    Solution:

    1. Identify Duplicates: Use transaction codes like SE16 or SE11 to access the relevant database tables (e.g., T554S for time management) and identify the duplicate entries for the node ID in question.
    2. Data Correction: Once duplicates are identified, you can either delete or correct the duplicate entries. Ensure that you maintain the integrity of the data and that the correct records are retained.
    3. Check Data Migration Processes: If the error occurred after a data migration, review the migration process to ensure that it correctly handles unique constraints and does not introduce duplicates.
    4. Review Configuration: Check the configuration settings in the relevant modules to ensure that they are set up correctly and do not allow for duplicate entries.
    5. Testing: After making corrections, perform thorough testing to ensure that the issue is resolved and that no new errors are introduced.

    Related Information:

    • Transaction Codes: Familiarize yourself with transaction codes like SE16 (Data Browser), SE11 (Data Dictionary), and others that can help you analyze the data.
