  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

Inspection method &v1& in plant &v2& cannot be saved because of a
    difference in versions.
The system tried to replace one or more versions of an inspection
method using data records with the same key. However, not all the
inspection method versions can be replaced or deleted, since they have
a usage decision indicator. This error can occur, for example, during
    distribution with ALE.

    How can this happen?

Versions 1, 2, and 3 of an inspection method should be saved.
Versions 1, 2, 3, and 4 already exist for this inspection method.
Version 4 is used and has a usage indicator.
When you overwrite the "old" inspection method with the new one, you
must delete the "old" version 4 (to avoid inconsistencies in the
database). However, this is not possible because this version is still
in use. As a results, the operation cannot be performed.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    System Response

The operation is canceled; the inspection method (with all versions)
    <ZH>cannot</> be saved.

    How to fix this error?

Make sure that the usage indicator is not set for the inspection method
    versions that should be deleted
