does not exist in the inspection plan.

    System Response

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

Enter an existing characteristic number. Note that the reference
characteristic must be a primary characteristic, i.e. an inspection
    characteristic with parameter characteristics.
    &Note&
A master inspection characteristic <ZH>only</> counts as a primary
characteristic in an inspection plan if an inspection method is assigned
to it, which in turn has parameter characteristics assigned to it. Even
if these parameter characteristics are deleted in the inspection plan,
the master inspection characteristic still remains a primary
    characteristic.
