QLMS015
- Multiple specifications are only permitted for inspection acc. to plan ?The SAP error message QLMS015 ("Multiple specifications are only permitted for inspection acc. to plan") typically occurs in the context of quality management (QM) when you are trying to create or process a quality inspection lot that has multiple specifications assigned to it, but the system is configured to allow only a single specification for that particular inspection type.
Cause:
- Inspection Type Configuration: The inspection type you are using may be configured to allow only one specification. This is common in certain inspection types where the process is designed to evaluate a single characteristic or specification.
- Master Data Settings: The material master or the inspection plan may have settings that restrict the use of multiple specifications.
- Quality Management Settings: The overall configuration in the Quality Management module may not support multiple specifications for the inspection lot you are trying to create.
Solution:
Check Inspection Type Configuration:
- Go to the configuration settings for the inspection type in the SAP system (Transaction code: SPRO).
- Navigate to Quality Management > Quality Inspection > Inspection Types and review the settings for the inspection type you are using. Ensure that it is set up to allow multiple specifications if that is your requirement.
Review Inspection Plan:
- Check the inspection plan associated with the inspection lot. Ensure that it is designed to handle multiple specifications if needed.
- You can do this by using transaction code QP02 to display the inspection plan and verify the specifications assigned.
Material Master Settings:
- Review the material master data (Transaction code: MM03) to ensure that the quality management settings allow for multiple specifications.
Adjust Quality Management Settings:
- If necessary, consult with your SAP QM consultant or system administrator to adjust the overall quality management settings to accommodate multiple specifications.
Create Separate Inspection Lots:
- If the configuration cannot be changed, consider creating separate inspection lots for each specification instead of trying to combine them into one.
Related Information:
If the problem persists after checking these areas, it may be beneficial to engage with your SAP support team or a consultant who specializes in SAP QM for further assistance.
