All the inspection types that are possible for an inspection are defined
in the quality info record. The inspection type that you have selected,
however, is not defined in the quality info record.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Select one of the following options:
Choose the inspection type proposed by the system.
Define the desired inspection type in the quality info record by storing
a status profile or an inspection type for the incoming inspection in
the record.

Solution:
Check Material Master:
- Go to the material master record (transaction code
MM03
).- Check the Quality Management view to ensure that the required inspection type is assigned.
Create or Update Quality Info Record:
- Use transaction code
QINFO
to check if the Quality Info Record exists for the material and the inspection type.- If it does not exist, create a new Quality Info Record with the appropriate inspection type.
Inspect Inspection Type Configuration:
- Ensure that the inspection type is configured correctly in the system. You can check this in the configuration settings under
SPRO
->Quality Management
->Quality Inspection
->Define Inspection Types
.Batch Management:
- If you are dealing with batches, ensure that the batch has the correct inspection type assigned. You can check this in the batch master record.

- If your organization has custom developments or enhancements, ensure that they are not interfering with the standard process.
