What causes this issue?

Your Customizing settings for lot sizing have been configured in such a
way that the requirements of several days, weeks, or months are to be
grouped together. However, MRP Live on SAP HANA does not support this
type of period lot-sizing procedures where several periods are grouped
together.
In classic MRP, the system uses the first shortage date as the period
start date. It then groups the requirements of the following "n" periods
based on this date. Since shortages of different materials can exist on
different days, it is possible that different groupings exist for each
material.
In MRP Live on SAP HANA, the system plans materials simultaneously
instead of sequentially. As a result, it is not possible to define
periods based on individual materials.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

System Response

If a period lot-sizing procedure has been defined for a material in
Customizing and several periods are to be grouped together, the MRP Live
report plans the material using classic MRP.

How to fix this error?

If system performance is affected by planning in classic MRP, change the
lot-sizing procedure to one that is supported by MRP Live on SAP HANA.
For example, you want to group requirements in quarterly periods.
Instead of using a period lot-sizing procedure that groups three monthly
periods, you create a planning calendar with periods starting on the
January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1.
