PK617
- Replenishment location &1 is WM-managed and supply area is initial ?The SAP error message PK617 indicates that there is an issue with the replenishment process in a Warehouse Management (WM) environment. Specifically, it states that the replenishment location is WM-managed, but the supply area is not defined (initial). This can occur in scenarios where the system is trying to perform a replenishment task but cannot find the necessary configuration to do so.
Cause:
- WM Management: The location specified for replenishment is managed by the Warehouse Management system, which requires specific configurations to be in place.
- Missing Supply Area: The supply area for the replenishment process is not defined or is set to initial (blank). This means that the system does not know where to source the stock from for replenishment.
- Configuration Issues: There may be a lack of proper configuration in the Warehouse Management settings, particularly regarding the supply area and its relationship to the storage location.
Solution:
Define Supply Area:
- Go to the configuration settings in SAP and ensure that a supply area is defined for the relevant storage location. This can typically be done in the Warehouse Management settings.
- Navigate to the relevant transaction (e.g., SPRO) and check the settings under:
- Logistics Execution > Warehouse Management > Master Data > Define Supply Areas.
- Ensure that the supply area is correctly assigned to the storage location that is WM-managed.
Check Storage Location Settings:
- Verify that the storage location is correctly set up to be WM-managed and that it has the necessary parameters configured.
- Ensure that the storage type and storage section are also properly defined.
Recheck Replenishment Strategies:
- Review the replenishment strategies in use to ensure they are compatible with the WM-managed location and that they reference the correct supply area.
Testing:
- After making the necessary changes, perform a test replenishment to ensure that the error does not occur again.
