  • What causes this issue?

    You want to install a piece of equipment into its installation location
    which is specified either in the XML file from the business partner or
    manually entered into the field for installation location on the
    Preparation & Generation tab page. The maintenance plant of the
    equipment to be installed is not identical to the maintenance plant of
    the installation location.

    System Response

    The system raises a warning message during the consistency check
    informing you that the maintenance plant of the equipment to be
    installed is not identical to the maintenance plant of the installation
    location. The installation in this case is not possible. To enable it,
    the system updates the maintenance plant of the equipment to be
    installed during the creation/update process before the installation.

    How to fix this error?

    At the end of the takeover process you may change the maintenance plant
    of the top technical object in the structure according to your business
    needs. The maintenance plant of the top technical object will be
    inherited for all subordinate objects.

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
