Message text: Upload incomplete, lines in file could not be wrapped correctly
An error occurred during the formatting of an upload file.
Either TRU or SPL mode was used. An attempt was made to upload a file
with lines that more than twice as long as the width of the transfer
table, or the file contains words that are too long for the lines to be
wrapped without splitting the words. TRU mode does not allow words to
be split.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
The application must make sure that the transfer table is long enough
to accept the widest line in the upload file.
Words cannot be split in TRU mode. If the line is wrapped in the middle
of a word, the second half of the word is placed in the next line of
the table; this means that the word must be able to fit in the next
line of the file, together with the next line.

- Upload incomplete, lines in file could not be wrapped correctly ?The SAP error message PC039, which states "Upload incomplete, lines in file could not be wrapped correctly," typically occurs during the upload of data files into the SAP system, particularly when dealing with payroll or personnel data. This error indicates that the system encountered issues while trying to process the lines in the uploaded file, which may be due to formatting or content issues.
Causes:
- File Format Issues: The uploaded file may not be in the expected format (e.g., CSV, TXT) or may have incorrect delimiters.
- Line Length Exceeded: The lines in the file may exceed the maximum length allowed by SAP for the specific data structure.
- Incorrect Data Structure: The data in the file may not match the expected structure or fields defined in the SAP system.
- Special Characters: Presence of special characters or unexpected line breaks in the data can cause issues during the upload process.
- Encoding Issues: The file may be saved in an unsupported encoding format (e.g., UTF-16 instead of UTF-8).
Solutions:
- Check File Format: Ensure that the file is in the correct format and adheres to the specifications required by SAP. Use a plain text editor to verify the format.
- Review Line Length: Check the length of each line in the file. If any line exceeds the maximum length, consider breaking it into smaller segments or adjusting the data.
- Validate Data Structure: Ensure that the data fields in the file match the expected fields in SAP. This includes checking for the correct number of fields and their order.
- Remove Special Characters: Scan the file for any special characters or unexpected line breaks and remove or replace them as necessary.
- Change File Encoding: Save the file in a compatible encoding format, such as UTF-8, to avoid encoding-related issues.
- Use SAP Tools: Utilize SAP tools like the Data Transfer Workbench or LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench) for data uploads, as they often provide better error handling and validation.
