Message class: P2 - Messages for HR Time Management
Message number: 513
Message text: Overtime overlaps with working or core time, was therefore delimited
The overtime entered intersects with the daily work schedule. In the
case of daily work schedules for flextime, you can control whether or
not this is allowed. If it is not allowed, the System attempts to change
the overtime entry so that it no longer intersects with the daily work
schedule. An error message appears if it is not possible to do this.
If the overtime has been worked on more than one day, there is no
delimitation. An error message is always issued in this case.
If this intersection with the daily work schedule is allowed, then you
receive either a warning or no message, depending on the definition
of the daily work schedule. If it is not a daily work schedule for
flextime, you cannot choose whether or not intersection is allowed.
In such cases, the System attempts to change the overtime entry
so that it does not intersect with the daily work schedule.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

This error indicates that the system has detected a conflict between recorded overtime hours and the employee's regular working hours or core time.
Cause:
- Overlapping Time Entries: The employee has recorded overtime that overlaps with their regular working hours. For example, if an employee is scheduled to work from 9 AM to 5 PM and they also have overtime recorded from 4 PM to 6 PM, the system will flag this as an error.

Solution:
- Review Time Entries: Check the employee's time entries for any overlaps. Ensure that the overtime hours do not coincide with regular working hours.
- Adjust Time Records: If overlaps are found, adjust the time records to ensure that overtime is recorded outside of regular working hours. This may involve changing the start or end times of the overtime entry.
- Check Configuration: Review the configuration settings in the SAP system related to working time, core time, and overtime rules. Ensure that they are set up correctly according to the organization's policies.
